The temperatures are climbing and so do the average minutes accumulated daily across Human Cities, slowly but steadily. April has been an active month, not only for Human users but also in general - it's the month of the big spring marathons, such as Paris (3rd of April), Rome (10th of April), Boston (18th of April) and London (24th of April).
Again our Number 1 is Barcelona which has been unchallenged in 2016 so far. Barcelona's Human users managed to overtake all other cities on Human Cities with 78 minutes of average activity - that's amazing. With 5 minutes distance, Rome - a newbie in our Top 10 ranking follows suit. We're pretty sure that's something to do with the marathon earlier in April, but let's see how this develops over the next months. Berlin closely follows with 72 average minutes per user.
Milan has been had its steady presence in the top 10 in the past months and is as our 2nd Italian city just short of the winner's podium this time with 69 minutes. New York City and London follow both with 68 minutes average activity per active user. Hong Kong dropped 4 more positions and is again with 67 minutes average this month on 7th place. We're happy to welcome Paris the first time in the Top 10 this year with 66 minutes average. Again, there's been a marathon on April 3, maybe that's the reason for the boost?
After missing out last month New Orleans climbed 7 positions to be #9 in our April ranking with 65 minutes average per user. Well done! Stockholm climbed 2 spots to the last place in the Top 10 with 65 minutes of average activity per user, that's 4 minutes more than last month's Number 10.
